Operation Engage America offers regional event for veterans and their families
Local organizations who serve veterans are teaming up to provide food, support and resources to northwest Iowa veterans and military families the day before Veteran's Day.
All veterans and military families are invited to attend this free event on
Tuesday, November 10 from 11:30 - 1 p.m. at the American Red Cross, 4200 War Eagle Dr., Sioux City. Free lunch and groceries will be provided along with information and resources for veterans and military families. (Recipient are asked to provide proof of service. First come, first served.)
This event is sponsored by Operation Engage America, a non-profit organization that provides support, awareness, education and resources to veterans, community members and their families living with PTSD and TBI and for those in the community who want to support them and be a part of the solution.
OEA was co-founded by the parents of Dillion Naslund, Galva, a 25-year-old member of the local "Red Bulls" Iowa National Guard Unit, who took his own life in 2013 after serving two deployments.
